Caring for your Eyeglasses
So you’ve finally decided on getting those beautiful designer eyeglasses. Now that you’ve finally received them, you have to make sure that you care for them. Eyeglasses normally have a lifespan of more than 2 years, depending on how often your vision changes. However, if your vision has been pretty regular, and doesn’t really change, you can push for a longer period of time, maybe like 3-5 years of wear. The only way you can do that, though, is to take extremely good care of your eyeglasses. Here’s an easy to follow list of things that you should do to take care of your eyeglasses.
It’s all in the cloth
Ideally, you have a portable micro fiber cloth that you are able to stash with you wherever you go. For the love of your glasses, refrain from cleaning your glasses with your paper towels or conventional tissues. The surface of paper towels and tissues is much too rough for your eyeglasses. It would be better for you to use your tee shirt to clean your eyeglasses than paper products. So, respect your glasses, and invest in some cleaning materials.
Proper moisture
Your glasses should be moistened before you start cleaning them. Whether you use soap and water, or a liquid specifically engineered for eyeglasses, it doesn’t matter. Just as long as the surface is lubricated before you start cleaning.
Your eyes are a very big part of who you are. If you treat your eyeglasses right, your eyes will be happy. And part of staying happy is making sure you look great.
